Firewall
When I go and set up the firewall, certain icons display in the top right hand corner of the screen. There are buttons that you can use to get rid of viruses. I used windows firewall because windows is the best option to choose from. It helps my computer stay healthy and it will keep it safe at all times. It also gets rid of viruses when I see them pop up on the screen. The firewall will prevent me from receiving a virus from somebody’s computer. Additionally, it can track down malware on the desktop and on the internet. I have to be careful with the firewall feature though because it can make my computer go slow.  Otherwise I would have to call my local Tomball IT support company to help speed things up for me.

Windows File Sharing
In order to do windows file sharing, I have to go to the home network. After I go to the home network, I will have to link the files to another computer on the same server. You have to do this if you want to share the same files in the same area. Each file needs to be in the correct order so that it is available to everybody. When I print, I usually right click the printer icon in printer and devices and choose print online. You need to do this so that you can be able to print online.

Changing the Desktop
I have changed the desktop to match the company description. This relates to what we are all about which is network programming and file sharing. I have worked with a lot of people in the past who have inappropriate desktop backgrounds which is not good for the company. I would have to go in and change their background so that it looks decent on the screen. You have to change the background by going to the windows menu and choosing the background. After that, you have to set it to what ever background you have available. When I work with different backgrounds, I have to change the color a little bit so that it doesn’t look so dull to the eyes. It is important for me to change the desktop once in a while because you do need a change each month.
